Application: Used for coliform detection and counting of tableware.
 
How to use:
1. Sampling:
After random selection of disinfected tableware (bowls, plates, cups, etc.), choose right sample size based on different industry, take 6-10 pieces of tableware one time, stick 2 pieces of paper on each sample, covering 25cm2 for each pieces, wetting paper with sterile saline, affixed to the inside surface of utensils immediately, remove paper after 30 seconds, place back in the original plastic bag.
For chopsticks testing ,we got 5 piece as one sample, after the paper moist with sterile saline, wipe the inlet end of the chopsticks (approximately 5cm) with paper, wipe 2 piece of paper for each chopstick, place back in the original plastic bag.
 
2.Detection:
Put the sampling paper into aluminum foil bags, sealed zipper ,and culture at 37 ℃ for 15-18h. If paper turn yellow and appear red on a yellow background spots or flaky blush which means coliform positive.
If paper color unchanged or showing red spots on a light blue purple background but no yellow halo around which means coliform negative.
 
Note:
1.Storage:
The count plate should be protected from light hypothermia (below 10 ℃) , and pay attention to moisture, if pink was found in the paper then the product is unavailable.
2.Confirmatory test methods:
To make confirmation test, using sterile forceps aseptically suspicious paper transplanted to lactose fermentation tube, culture at 37 ℃ for 24 hours, if acid and gas appears which would be judged as positive for coliform bacteria, otherwise judged as negative .
